As a co-founder of Synaptix AI, Atiq Khan is a senior AI consultant and data scientist with deep expertise in machine learning, predictive analytics, and AI-driven automation. Holding an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Essex and a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Software Development from Anglia Ruskin University, Atiq specialises in developing scalable AI solutions that drive business transformation.
With over three years of experience in AI consultancy and applied data science, Atiq has worked on high-impact AI solutions across defence, automotive, energy, and business intelligence sectors. His technical expertise includes generative AI (GANs, LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), time-series forecasting, NLP, and predictive modelling. He has played a critical role in developing AI-powered automation, improving operational efficiency, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Professor Ioannis Kypraios
Prof. Ioannis Kypraios holds a BEng in Computer Systems Engineering with First-Class honours and an MSc in Modern Digital Communication Systems with distinction. He pursued his Doctorate (DPhil) at the University of Sussex (UK), supported by an EU Bursary, focusing on Fully Robust Digital-Optical Object Recognition Systems. He also holds a Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering by the University of Patras (Greece). In 2019, Prof. Kypraios completed his PGCert (HE) in Teaching and Learning. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and a full member of The IET, IEEE and Optica (formerly known as Optical Society of America).
With over 24 years of professional experience in both industry and academia, Prof. Kypraios is globally recognised as a top expert in Computing and Artificial Intelligence. His research has secured nearly £1.2 million in direct funding over the past decade, primarily in applied AI areas and digital healthcare technologies. His current research interests focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with applications in Digital Healthcare Technologies (Translational Medicine), Sustainable Development, and Intelligent Vehicles & Transport.
Prof. Kypraios has worked at various prestigious institutions, including the University of Sussex, University of Oxford, University of Ghent (Belgium), Anglia Ruskin University, and De Montfort University. Previously, he was the Head of Department of Data Science and AI at Northeastern University London. Currently, he is an Affiliate Professor in AI and Machine Learning at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences of Northeastern University, Boston MA.
In March 2014, he transitioned to industry as a Senior Research Scientist and Technical Lead for autonomous and semi-autonomous driving vehicles at Continental ADAS SV Systems in Lewes, UK. Later, in December 2015, he assumed the role of Senior Research Scientist at FotoNation (part of Xperi and formerly known as Tessera Holding Corporation). Previously, his research in digital healthcare technologies received significant funding from Teledyne FLIR Intelligent Systems. From 2020 to 2022, Prof. Kypraios co-directed the translational medicine Centre for Primary Care Research (CfPCR) in partnership with Willows Health (NHS).
Prof. Kypraios has successfully led teams of over 100 people in academia and industry across three different regions, i.e. Germany, the UK, and the US.

Cognitive AI for Renewable Energy: Developed an AI tool for automated speciation in renewable energy applications, achieving UKAS accreditation under ISO 17025, the first AI-driven application to receive such accreditation in the UK, while leading a cross-discipline lab at the University of Oxford.
ADAS SV Perception and Learning: Delivered an award-winning trailer assist function to GM and Chrysler while heading Continental ADAS SV Perception and Learning, leading a team of AI research scientists, software engineers, and test engineers across three different regions: Germany, the UK, and the US.
AI for Public Health: Led the development of an AI-driven healthier lifestyle programme for Leicester City, called "H2A: Lifestyles" which was later replicated in New York as the AI4HealthyCities programme.
Generative AI for LegalTech: Delivered an advanced GenAI platform for the automated generation of legal documents.
AI Policy & Strategy Advisor for the European Innovation Council (EIC): Currently advising the European Commission on AI strategy and policy development.
